Coins as an Investment

Investing in coins, like any other investment, runs in cycles and reacts to the price-driven, internal forces of the supply and demand equation and of the coin. People buy coins to make money and sell them when prices go up high and buy when the prices go cheap. This is the way the market builds momentum and repeats itself over and over.

There are several advantages to collecting rare coins as an investment and it can be a very good bottom line investment. Rare coins are the most liquid of investments and two or three times a month, there are major coin shows and/or auctions where you can sell your coins. When you want to sell your coins, payment is immediate.

The supply of rare coins is diminishing daily and if you have rare coins, this could be to the investor's advantage. It is much different than other investments because the rare coin is not made anymore and the only way new demand can be satisfied is with higher prices.

If you want to invest in coins, go to a lot of coin shows, know the markets of the coins because markets change, and know the coins that you are buying. Buy the coins you enjoy and hold onto them for a long time.

Get a reputable and knowledgeable agent to do the buying for you; they know the market and know where to get the coins that you might be interested in buying or selling. They will give you advice on when to buy and when to sell.
