Collecting Old Valuable Coins

Bullish rare coins are old coins that have had the greatest growth in value over the years. Their value continues to rise. You can use the Coin Value Table to find out which coins will continue to soar in value.

The value of old coins is astounding. The rare 1969-S Lincoln Penny is worth $35,000. A 1943 copper penny is worth over $200,000. Check the coins in your pocket- you never know what you might find.

If a coin is attracted to a magnet, then there is steel in that coin and it will have no value above its face value. However, if the penny has zinc-coated steel, you have a find. There are only forty zinc-coated steel pennies that exist today.

If coins were minted with an error, they have value due to their scarcity. The dime in 1982 was minted without the “p” over the date. The penny in 1955 was minted with a double die due to a misalignment error. Check your coins, they deserve close attention.

The silver dime is worth $9,000.00. These are the dimes that don’t have a copper/nickel brown streak in the rim. The silver dime was discontinued in 1964; however, there are still a lot of these coins in circulation. In 1965, dimes began to be minted out of copper and nickel. There is supposed to be a rare silver dime minted by error in 1965.

The Coin Value Table will tell you how much a coin is worth. Surprisingly, The Susan B. Anthony coin is worth face value. Just like with any other type of collecting, value is ultimately determined by scarcity and demand.
